Great fit

You'll love it if…

  • You want to fly with no previous experience or special fitness.
  • You would love to see the Val d'Aran, Aigüestortes and the Aneto from the air, in tandem with a qualified pilot.
  • You are looking for a short, intense activity that fits easily alongside other plans on the same day.
Worth a second look

It might not be for you if…

  • You have a severe fear of heights or health conditions that rule out flying (heart problems, blood pressure, pregnancy).
  • You absolutely need a fixed date and time: the flight is confirmed according to the day's conditions and may be rescheduled.
  • You exceed the maximum weight for the tandem equipment (get in touch first so we can look at your case).

Pau Conangla

Your flight is piloted by Pau Conangla, a qualified tandem paragliding pilot based in the Val d'Aran with real experience of the local take-off sites: the Vielha valley, Superbagnères and the old La Tuca resort. Additional information

  • When do the flights run?

From spring to autumn. Thermal flights are at their best from May to September, with stable days and good lift; in the colder months you can still fly if the day allows.

  • Meeting point

Confirmed when you book, depending on the option and the forecast for the day. It is usually in Vielha or near the chosen take-off point (Val d'Aran or Luchon).

  • How long to allow

Set aside half a morning or half an afternoon. The flight itself lasts 15 to 30+ minutes depending on the option; the rest is getting to take-off, the safety briefing and preparing the equipment.

  • If the weather does not cooperate

If on the day of your booking there are no safe wind and visibility conditions, we will find another date with you at no cost or penalty. So it is worth leaving some margin in your travel dates.

  • Weight and health

The tandem equipment has a maximum weight per passenger: if you are close to it or over it, get in touch first so we can look at your case. Flying is not recommended with a severe fear of heights, heart or blood pressure problems, or during pregnancy.

  • Under-18s

They fly with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. The guideline age is from 15, but this is not a strict rule: each case is assessed on height, weight and maturity.

Before you set off

What to bring

Warm layers and waterproofs for rain and wind

Warm clothing: long sleeves or a windproof jacket even in summer, as it feels colder at altitude and during the flight.

Hiking boots

Closed sports shoes with good ankle support, especially for the options with a walk to take-off.

Gear for a winter snowshoe outing

Sunglasses and, if you have them, thin gloves.

Water bottle and snacks for the route

Water and a snack for the walk to take-off.

Mountain helmet resting on a rock

Helmet and harness

No need to bring them: the pilot provides them.

Once your date is confirmed, you'll receive the final kit list, adapted to the forecast and ground conditions.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us

01Do I need previous experience to go paragliding?

No. It is a tandem flight: you are always with a qualified pilot who is fully in control of the flight.

02Which option do you recommend?

The Luchon Flight is the most accessible (barely 5 minutes' walk to take-off). The Valley Flight adds a 40-minute hike and views of Aigüestortes and the Aneto. The Thermal Flight is the longest. The Buggy Flight combines an off-road ride up with a flight over Vielha.

03Is there a minimum or maximum age?

Roughly between 15 and 65, although this is a guide rather than a strict rule: each case is assessed on fitness and health.

04What happens if the weather is bad?

The flight depends on the weather conditions on the day. If they are not safe, it is rescheduled at no cost.

05What should I bring?

Warm clothing (long sleeves or a jacket, even in summer, as it feels colder at altitude) and closed shoes. The pilot provides the helmet and safety equipment.

06Can I fly if I am afraid of heights?

A little fear of heights is normal and part of the experience. If it is severe, flying is not recommended.
