Before you sign up

Is it for you?

You'll love it if…

  • You have never tried bushcraft and want to start from scratch
  • You are looking for a practical activity to do with family or friends
  • You want to learn fire and natural shelter safely, rather than on your own and without guidance

It may not be the course for you if…

  • You already want the advanced level with a night in an unstaffed hut (see the advanced course)
  • You don't like getting dirty or working with your hands

Who will be with you on this course

Javier Gil

Javier approaches the introduction to bushcraft as a day of real practice, not textbook theory: each participant builds their own shelter, takes part in lighting the fire and practises reading the environment with their own hands.

The low-impact principle is not an add-on at the end of the course but the yardstick for every decision on the ground: where to camp, which resources to use and how to leave the place exactly as you found it.
